I have learned so much since the Connecticut River Valley Flood of 1936 was published by talking with historians, environmental scientists, emergency management professionals, academics and others passionate on these issues. I have also discovered that some important details in the printed edition are incorrect and want to be sure that I note them here. If you have an expertise in this area, please don't hesitate to contact me so I can ensure that this work is accurate and represents the history of the people, places and things I have described. Thank you.

Deerfield River

p. 23 incorrectly notes that the Deerfield River drops 300 vertical feet over the 76 miles from southern Vermont to the Connecticut River at Greenfield. The correct figure is 2000 vertical feet, according to the Deerfield River Watershed Association website.
